This is why gunracks on the back glass went out of vogue after the 60's and went to behind the bench seat.
One company tried to market Ceiling Gunracks, but the results were Felony Stops.
Don’t understand why he didn’t follow that procedure.>>>>
All the political pressure on LEOs these days make some have periodic episodes of “nice guy syndrome.”
“You have a firearm, please let me take it so I feel safer”
The officer should have had his side arm out at that point, ordering him to get out of the car empty handed.
Many years ago I was on my way home from work about 3am when I got pulled over. When the policeman walked up to my window and asked for my license I told him....sure, but I have a gun in my purse too. He asked if I had a permit for it and I said no, I tried but they wouldn’t give me one and I work in a bar and have been followed home, etc. so I carry one now. He said okay and asked me to put my purse on my lap as I opened it so he could see it. I did as I was told, he checked my license, told me to be safe and walked away. Never even told me why he stopped me. These days I’d be pulled out of the car, handcuffed and taken to jail. Times have changed.
