China is also agressively pushing to get the fact that they were responsible for it wiped off of the history books, gleefully helped by American and European corporations. Just yesterday I was on, of all places, a Facebook cooking forum where they were discussing an item on sale at Costco. Somebody mentioned that they were originally made in France but are now made in China. Someone else wanted to know what difference that should make and I remarked on how some people don't want to buy goods manufactured under sweatshop or slave labor conditions, controlled by a government that jails anyone who disagrees with them. The entire thread got deleted.

Your Facebook story was both interesting and chilling. I suppose the United States is drifting towards something akin to Vichy France. Vichy France was, in theory, an independent country. But if you did something in Vichy France that displeased the Nazi overlords, thereād be hell to pay.
Oh, and Vichy France was full of collaborators. Same goes here.
