My father said just call them Limeys. That was WWII.In Vietnam the 1st RAR bunch we co-patrolled with we called "Diggers".

The Australian troops have been called Diggers since WW1. A name they take great pride in.
The Limeys were the Brits who got that name from the naval tradition of carrying limes aboard ship to help stop scurvy, a vitamin C deficiency that plagued sailors in the days of sails.
