Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones on Wednesday announced via social media that his father, Alvin Jones Sr., with whom he had a close relationship, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 57.

Both of Jones’ parents served in the Army, and Aaron and his twin brother, Alvin Jr. (who played with the Baltimore Ravens in 2018 and 2019), spent the majority of their lives in El Paso, Texas, while their parents were stationed at Fort Bliss. Aaron would often join his father at physical training sessions, and he volunteered at a number of youth military events.

“My dad is the greatest man I’ve ever encountered,” Jones wrote in The Players Tribune. “The things he’s done for me in my life — he’s been there every step of the way. He taught me everything. He taught me to keep God first — that with God, anything is possible. He taught me to believe in myself. He showed me how a man’s supposed to be a man.”

The father of Aaron Jones, Green Bay Packers running back, passed away a few days ago. Jones eulogizes his father as a man who taught him about God and how to be a man.

It's a different kind of tribute that we normally don't see from the NFL. And is well worth reading.

I didn't post the entire article because I don't know if this website is on FR's restricted list.

Unfortunately, what the article fails to mention is whether we are talking about the Islamic god of Mohammed or the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ. If the former, they are both bound for Hell and I would not look for any message of redemption from Aaron. This is exactly why Satan has his counterfeit god . . . so that people will be duped, not knowing the difference.

Yea, and the article never mentioned whether he wears boxers or briefs, or eats grits for breakfast or pancakes with bacon and eggs. Never mentioned whether or not his wife puts fabric softener in the clothes washer or what kind of deodorant he uses.

What the hell kind of reporting is this anyway? So many unanswered questions that can't even be listed here........

Looks like hell belched - and you flew out.

Can’t even post a positive story on FR anymore without you demonic pessimists trying to ruin it.

Why don’t you research who Aaron Jones is.

“...that with God, anything is possible.”

Hm...sounds very similar to a phrase right out of the Holy Bible.

Watching a pre game story on his dad dying of covid. Never mentioned is he was vaccinated or not.

Searched a good bit and could not find a single mention if he was vaccinated or not

So I have to surmise from the information vacuum that he was not vaccinated.

A positive story from the NFL where a player thanks his father for making him a man and helping him to believe in God is rare indeed.
