I was referring to the recent Miami riots, where the hooligans were called “spring breakers” by the press, as if they were the normal crowd that comes to South Beach for spring break.
They weren’t. First of all, I doubt that a single one of them had ever been anywhere near a college, and secondly, even the police chief said the people doing the shootings, assaults and vandalism were adults. The ones they arrested were in their 30s.
I was contrasting this group and the off-roaders, who may have gotten a little crazy but came back and cleaned up and didn’t shoot anybody.
