HOORAY David Wells
I love this guy. Still remember that perfect game.
This helps me. I lost a Jeter and gained a Wells (he was always my favorite, then Andy Petite/Mariano Rivera).
God bless David Wells. Should’ve stayed a Yankee. In EACH of his two two-year stints as a Yankee, he went 34-14. He loved the pressure, going 10-5 with a 3.17 ERA, for instance, in the post-season. He became a regular, starting pitcher at 30 years old, so his numbers don’t quite scream Hall of Fame, especially after his last couple of years, aged over 43, fattened up his career ERA. But over the course of a decade between age 32 and 42, he went 172-90.
I love baseball, and I’ve been a fan my whole life practically.
But not MLB today.
Manfred didn’t even get a vote from the players - a colossal idiot.
I’m not going to watch any games even though I have a subscription.
NBA: “We’ve really done a heck of a job in alienating a large portion of our fan base”...
MLB: “Hold my stale pretzel and my watered-down beer”
