Out in Ca one time on a business trip I found a wallet in the parking lot. I managed to contact the owner when back in the hotel. Later I met him in the same parking lot and he wanted to give me a $20 as a reward which I refused. He was Hispanic but the odd thing was he didn’t seem too happy about getting his wallet back and reacted as more annoyed than anything else. I walked away feeling kinda weird from his reactions. Hey whateverrrrr hombre.

Years back in a subway tunnel, I was walking a good distance behind a black guy and saw him drop his wallet. I called out to him, he picked it up and he continued to walk. No thanks for me. Must have been a racist.

Last year, I was in a self-checkout line and the woman in front of me had apparently requested cash back, and she started walking away just as the machine spit out the cash. I called out to her, she took the cash, and thanked me multiple times. I guess that made up for the other guy.

Those who think that found money is a gift from “the money gods” apparently have a different God than I do.
