Agree. I’ve heard we’re supposed to “back the blue”, but I’m skeptical. There are so many bad apples hiding behind their titles and badges.
This is about one penny. When my friend had very small children she’d give them ten pennies to put in the offering plate on Sunday. After church one day she noticed her daughter playing with a penny that she had kept for herself. They piled into the car, took the long drive back to church, and had Susie (not her name) give the penny to the pastor.
The kids all grew up to be great adults. Susie flew jets for the Navy, and now is teaching.
Right. I’m pro cop in the context of the corrupt BLM and their racism hoax.
There is PLENTY wrong with law enforcement - but it’s not racism.
When the Left is ready to drop this bogus charge that cops are killing blacks because they are black - I’d be glad to talk about police reform.
I’d start with power happy traffic police. Traffic police are the ONLY police I ever see. They write tickets for frivolous things and only if they feel like it. They have everyone on edge because they can stop you for almost any reason. Millions of law abiding citizens are hassled over minor bs and go their entire lives never ONCE experiencing police “protecting and serving”.
I’m 70 - I live in the suburbs and I’ve never called the police or had them protect me from anything. If someone robs me or breaks into my house, I assume I’ll either defend myself or get robbed. The police would come by later I’m sure to tell me what I did wrong or should have done different.
The only time I ever see police is lurking by the road, seeing if they can find some technicality to screw me over for. Sorry - but it’s true.
I even have a niece and nephew who are cops. Maybe in the city it’s different but my personal experience with LE is 0% protect and serve -100% scrutinize and hassle over minor shit...
When you think about the huge difference between the way police can treat you in your home vs. in your car - it is astounding. They literally can’t even come into your house without a warrant - much less shine a flashlight in your windows, frisk you, go through your files and inspect your paperwork! But when you are driving they can do all that.
I realize roads are public and your house is private - but I think LE has made a huge, huge PR mistake since the advent of the automobile - the vast majority of law abiding citizens never experience them protecting and serving - only scrutinizing and hassling.. and if you ask me, most of them are pretty rude - like they are your superior....
It shouldn’t be that way.
I don’t know, I live in a small Texas town. They all seem fine to me
