That's the problem.
They're not treating them until they've passed the point of no return.
These people typically came in from one of the local nursing homes. My area has a large number of these kinds of facilities and they pretty much all got hit hard. We had a list during wave 1 that told us what the positivity numbers were at every one of these facilities. Some of them were pretty much 100% Covid + and these weren’t small facilities. Once we figured out that the nursing homes were driving up the mortality and morbidity, they implemented their strict lockdown protocols and that, IMO, probably saved more lives than anything else. our mortality rate plummeted after that. Initially, we had been leading the state in Covid deaths in my country and then that stopped.
