Yes. It’s a defensive position covering receivers. Lots of tackles.

Just about every position in football involves hitting and/or being hit. Cornerbacks need to cover and tackle receivers, but they are also expected to bring down running backs who will have a full head of steam by the time they get to the secondary. They will certainly experience their share of concussions.
