Some women may need it and actually agree.
‘Faulkner didn’t have that impact, and Fitzgerald only had it a little bit.’
Faulkner and Hemingway couldn’t possibly have been more distinct from each other; nothing about them, from writing style through to lifestyle, was remotely similar...
Faulkner for a time embraced the Joycean concept of arcane references, resulting in the mish mash that was ‘Absalom, Absalom’, and also the powerful statement that was ‘The Sound and the Fury...’
Wow, really?
I am glad you aren’t married to my daughters. We might need to have a conversation about how you hitting a woman was “justified.” Because I cannot think of a single reason.
All I remember is that the old man caught a big fish but by the time he got back to shore not much of it was left. I don’t know if it is meant to be an allegory for something or just a simple story. Also that Hemingway tells us that when the old man got up in the morning he went outside to take a leak. Most novelists ignore that sort of thing. Maybe it is meant to show he is an authentic old man with an enlarged prostate.
South Park did a great summary.
Raise them right then.
Didn’t know anything of his politics, only his writings which I admired..........So lets all attack him like the left attacked John Wayne after he died.......makes just as much sense.
You make Pappa look sane. Lol.
