Today we have a perfect SAT “score” of 800. Before the big recalibration in the mid 90s, an 800 meant a perfect test with no errors. Now there are a few errors permitted to still get an 800. Grade inflation is everywhere.

Yes they really dumbed down standardized tests over the years. Math used to be a much larger portion of the overall score.

“errors” - I looked that up and it’s a possibility but also it looks like a rare event. About 500 students a year get perfect scores. It would be interesting to know how many skipped a question or had a wrong answer. BTW these students are almost exclusively male.
