Serj Tankian is/was the lead singer of a metal band called "System of a Down". The band is mostly Armenians from the LA area. You would think that Armenians, being nominally Christian and very pro-business would tend to be Republican, but like all recent immigrants they tend to vote Democrat.

Serj is no exception. Younger Armenians are especially susceptible to Democrat brainwashing.

To call him a singer would be a great complement as he mostly screeches the lyrics of the songs.

There is a video of him singing "Holiday in Cambodia" by the Dead Kennedys with the Foo Fighters as his backup band. There his screeching makes sense since he's trying to replicate the voice of Jello Biafra who is no Frank Sinatra either.
