It is getting tough to remain in contact with relatives. You try and limit discussions to banalities but even discussing the weather can incite strong, idiotic responses.
As I get older, I keep asking myself, do I really want to spend any of my remaining time with these individuals.
It’s a million times worse if you relative is liberal. They can slam Republicans all day long, to your face even, but try to counter, and nope, “politics” is off limits. They can slam your religion all day, but try to defend and they say “nope, religious discussions not allowed”
Point out their reeiculo7s double standards, and they get all offended and accuse you of attacking them
