I never understood why Mets fans would walk around with those odd orange and blue colors. It's a color combination reserved for stuffed toys for toddlers and nothing else.

This yellow Red Sox outfit, if not an April Fool's joke, is the color of a girl's summer dress.

I never understood why Mets fans would walk around with those odd orange and blue colors. It's a color combination reserved for stuffed toys for toddlers and nothing else.

I think orange (echoing the Giants) and blue (echoing the Dodgers) were meant to echo NYC's previous National League teams, for which the Mets were created to replace.

More recently the Mets have worn black accents ( black being the Giants' other color).
