Mars can achieve a balmy 70° F at the equator in Summer, but nighttime temps can be as low as -100° F. Bring a sweater.
I’ve read when Mars gets up to 60 or 70 degrees they are only talking about the first couple of inches from the surface. With a light atmosphere it gets cold very fast as you move up.
