“What was the roommate doing while the scumbag was torturing the cat?”
It belonged to his girlfriend’s roommate. He surely knew this. So it wasn’t just animal cruelty, it was extreme cruelty to the roommate. Did he know the roommate? Have a grudge against her, or what? And why didn’t her roommate intervene? Really sad all around.

As far as I am concerned, they are both guilty of felony animal abuse.
