...there’s essentially nobody keeping track of COVID adverse reactions in the U.S. and no long-term safety data, but emphasized that this new mRNA technology is “extremely effective and extremely safe.”

If no-one is explicitly keeping track of safety information, then what *exactly* is he basing the assertion that mRNA is safe on?

Seriously, if it is "new" technology then there is no long term history, nothing to base such an assertion on.

Less seriously, we know that basically anyone who died in 2020 or so far in 2021 that had covid, or may have had covid, or could even remotely be suspected of maybe having covid was counted as a covid death. Why not apply the same standard to these new and potentially dangerous rushed-into-widespread-use vaccines? Anyone who dies or has serious medical issues who has had one or more vaccine shots should be counted as a potential negative side effect of the vaccines.

"If no-one is explicitly keeping track of safety information"

They are keeping track of safety information. The clinical trial participants continue to be tracked and there are multiple avenues to report any potential side effects of the vaccines. The article is fearmongering lies.

"what *exactly* is he basing the assertion that mRNA is safe on?"

The decades of research and development and over a year of clinical trials for the COVID-19 vaccines (the first clinical trial participants got their shots March 16th 2020).

"we know that basically anyone who died in 2020 or so far in 2021 that had covid, or may have had covid, or could even remotely be suspected of maybe having covid was counted as a covid death."

If that were true, then deaths from heart disease, cancer, etc. would be way down. But they aren't. They're at or slightly above normal levels. Yet there were over 500,000 more deaths in 2020 than 2019, which is an 18% jump. Normal year-over-year increases are 0.3% - 0.7%.

"Anyone who dies or has serious medical issues who has had one or more vaccine shots should be counted as a potential negative side effect of the vaccines."

That's what VAERS does. If you slip and fall on some ice a week after you get your COVID-19 shot, your broken hip is recorded in VAERS. Did the vaccine cause that? Almost certainly not, but it's recorded anyway. All adverse events that occur after a vaccination get recorded in VAERS. That's why you shouldn't buy it when somebody tries selling you VAERS data as though it were documentation of vaccine injuries, because it's mostly noise.

For all the deaths recorded in VAERS, there have been zero medical investigations which found that a COVID-19 vaccine caused or contributed to a person's death in the US. Zero. Not one. We gave a shot to millions of frail, elderly citizens and then watched them all like a hawk. Some of them died, as frail, older folks sometimes do. Each of those deaths was recorded even though a medical examination would later reveal the death to be the result of natural causes or whatever else.

Good point.

Interesting some people like to use “correlation does not equal causation” like a bludgeon, as if it magically removes all possibility the adverse events reported are related to the vaccine. Correlation is a logically appropriate place to start. That’s why VAERS exists.
