The Federalist Society’s recommendations are pure garbage - they put forth candidates who are basically John Roberts in various guises. Their recommendations should be worth as much to a conservative president as those of the American Bar Association at this point. What’s needed are strong conservative champions, not “strict textualist” wusses who keep finding that going along with Democrats is just what the Constitution wants.
Agree. I’d prefer just finding a normal everyday type of person who hasn’t been an ivy leaguer or made all the right decisions in his life. Someone with a little common sense. Trump was forced to lay the court card in the first election because silly people thought he’d appoint his sister and the like.
Not really. What's needed is for the court to have so little power it doesn't matter what political leanings the justices themselves have. This is the way it was supposed to be in the first place. What may surprise many conservatives is the fact that if government is strictly limited it no longer attracts scumbag leftist liars.
