There is actually some truth in that article.
The redwin site was indeed a little deceptive and annoying. I had a $10 donation repeat on me, when I didn’t intend it to.
And you had to click through a bunch of screens trying to get you to double your donation, and sign up for recurring donations. It was confusing.
I don’t have any regrets for donating to Trump, regardless of how he uses the money. He fought for us. He did a heck of a job.
But I don’t like winred’s tactics.
It was heavy handed, but I don’t think it was designed by Trump.
And when I went to donate to the Georgia candidates, if you read the fine print, 1/3 of it was going to McConnell. But it allowed you to change it, which I did.
I wonder if there were even any complaints against Redwin or Trump. They speak of unwitting contributors, as if Harpo Marx was picking someone’s pocket, and that his entire contest of the election was in order to not refund those “unwitting” contributions. How many of those are they alleging was “unwitting”? In dollar terms.
