those carbs were a major pain in the arse
Not to mention the SU electric fuel pump. But, on an MGA at least, if you left the battery cover off, you could reach behind the seats and whack the fuel pump with a hammer to get it running again. You didn’t even have to get out of the car!
Yep if I could do it all over again I would have bought a GTO.
