How can anyone seriously consider these numbers as factual? The last time I checked, the number of TOTAL deaths, worldwide, from all causes, for 2020 was not much different than previous years. I would have expected a “Pandemic” surge in 2020.

US Excess Deaths are tracked by age. And age is all that matters since that’s where the virus attacks. The 65+ group died in the US last year at 20% above the multi year typical rate.

Society has to decide if that’s acceptable.

As for today’s death count, about 30 fewer than last week, same day. This is the stuff of slowed death count decrease. Explaining why that is happening will be a challenge.

They cured heart disease finally. That where the extra deaths came from. Overall the numbers looked the same but we need an audit to be sure.

Number of deaths in the US in 2018: 2,839,205 (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db355.htm)
Number of deaths in the US in 2019: 2,854,838 (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/products/databriefs/db395.htm)
Number of deaths in the US in 2020: 3,371,653 (https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/COVID19/index.htm - Preliminary but still rising)

516,815 additional deaths in 2020 over 2019. An 18.1% difference. A normal year-over-year difference is 0.3-0.7%. This is 36 times higher than normal.
