Whether it’s for naught remains to be seen.
It depends what’s really behind the push for the vaccines.
They may be successful when people start dropping like flies from the virus when exposed later, or when they become sterile, or whatever the true purpose of the vaccine really is.
There is more than one purpose.
None of them I consider good.
