They spent three days with no food or water next to their dead parents lying in pools of blood. Those kids have been traumatized, and they’ll most likely be dealing with the after-effects for the rest of their lives. Hopefully they’ll be OK.

Those kids have been traumatized - Why? Sounds like another day in the hood. Their education in what goes on there just started a little earlier than most.
