This is why there are now pictures on the cash registers instead of words like "taco," "burrito," - or number symbols, etc.
Kids are leaving school well-versed in CRT but cannot read, write and/or compute.
And this is why I prefer to use self-service whenever possible. I was at IKEA the other day and now they have self-service check-out, the local Whole Foods just installed them too.
This girl was obviously new but she also had inch long fake nails, which makes customer service jobs exceedingly difficult.
Yesterday it took a similar clerk 30 seconds just to remove coins from the cash drawer.
In February 2012, when I still lived in the area, a group of employees at a McDonalds in Baltimore pooled their money to buy lottery tickets for a $660 million drawing.
One of their tickets won. The girl who bought all the tickets for the group claimed that the winning ticket was purchased with her own money, and did not belong to the group. The lottery commission later ruled that since she could not prove her claim, the winning ticket belonged to the group.
if able, normal people should get away from the inner cities and at minimum, not visit anywhere near there....
I know lots of people can't just get up and move, so hopefully, they have extended family they can stay with when SHTF.
As The Greaseman used to call it, “Godforsaken Waldorf.”
Going feral is growing faster than expected no state is without it.
This country is filled with stupid.
This world is filled with stupid.
More and more with each passing day.

Pardon me, but I try to always take issue with the use of what are in effect euphemisms to describe people who are actually criminals. The people you’re referring to are indeed “stupid”, but more to the point they are criminals.
The most common euphemism that triggers my anger is use of the word “shenanigans” to describe what is actually CRIMINAL ACTIVITY! That misleading term was a commonly used to describe the criminal activity of a tiny minority of attendees at the Trump rally at the Capitol on Jan. 6. Shenanigans are activities engaged in by children on Halloween!
Thanks for that Karen or Daren. Appreciated but to no avail.
Don’t like the use of “stupid,” then ignore and move along, kkthx?
Speaking of which, why is it that Taco Bell always forgets some part of my order, yet never fails to give me about 50 sauce packets that I didn’t ask for?
..................................................
Happens at McDonald’s drive-thru every time I visit, and I think I have the answer. The employees don’t want to hear a rash of complaints from customers who’ve been shorted on their requested number of sauce packets, salt, sugar, etc. etc. So to avoid complaints and hassle they just grab a bunch of the packets and throw them in the bags!
But here’s another interesting problem at McDonald’s. They also get my order wrong about half the time. BUT, if I order a senior coffee BLACK with creamers and sweeteners “on the side”, and then I’m given a coffee with cream in the coffee, I complain and hand it back. However, the employees are instructed to NOT take back items once given to the customer. SO, what should I do with this coffee that I didn’t order and do not want? I simply drop it out of my hand between my car and the drive-up window. That really freaks them out!
I lived in the College Park area from birth to retirement and loved to listen to the Greaseman. Met him once at a Chinese restaurant in Greenbelt. Hell of a guy. Route 301 in the ‘50s was a mecca for young people who wanted to gamble and booze it up on the weekends. And for more sensual activity there were a bunch of “bedbug” motels along the strip! Now those were the good old days for sure!

No, I do like the word “stupid”, but I usually refer to these morons as either ignorant or evil, or both!
:-)
Ah yes, good ‘ol 301 & Smallwood Drive in Waldorf. Also known these days as “Mini-Compton, CA” (on the side of the Burger King and the Mall area) and known as “Little El Salvador” (on the other side of 301 - the Carrington neighborhood, Bannister, Wakefield, etc.)
If I’m stopped at that light on 301 & Smallwood, going either North of South on 301, I’m GUARANTEED to see at least one Latino on a bicycle crossing the highway while we’re stopped. Every. Single. Time.
The Carrington neighborhood is 90% Hispanic now. Multiple vehicles parked in front of people’s homes, including a few El Camino’s with lawn chairs in the back.
I grew up in Mt. Rainier and later lived in New Carrollton before retiring from the gov’t to Texas a few years back.
Grease is 70ish now. He’s got a few videos on YouTube but not a lot. A lot of audio bits on: http://www.greaseman.org/
What? Is this wrong? I do not see a problem-—
That recently happened to me at McDonalds - asked for 4 hot and 2 mild for our breakfast burritos and got 2 and 2 of each. We now eat breakfast at the casino.

Amazing coincidence! I usually refer to College Park for the reason that most people have some awareness of that area due to the University. Actually, I lived from birth to about age 35 in Mt. Rainier first at 30th and Upshur Street, then at 30th and Shepherd Street, then finally at 30th and Bunker Hill Road. Went to St. James School for eight years. My brother and his wife lived for a short while at Hilltop Manor apartments on Bladensburg Road across from the Junior High school. Later they moved to New Carrollton but I don’t remember the street. Where did you live in Mt. Rainier?
“Where did you live in Mt. Rainier?”
Queenstown apartments.
I passed by that Taco Bell on my way south to Richmond today. Saw the boarded up entrance.
