This may be key to the trial. The officer might be charged with a crime connected to excessive force but I doubt that charge could be murder - in any degree. Maybe manslaughter... {{what do I know? :) }}
thx about the gas cans...my husbands biggest complaints about the newer ones....now maybe there’s a way to fix them.

I try not to post dupes but sometime I may by mistake. Every now and I then I do massive searches and collect on a document, then when I post, often I try a few before I find the one I like a particular mood or message, as the fancy strikes me.

I’m lucky (I guess). I take a couple dozen capsules total, all right after my first meal of the day, which tends to be a bowl of fresh fruit and nuts at about 1:00 p.m. Not all in one gulp, though - haha! It takes a glass of water to get them down. But I’m fortunate in that I tolerate them all just fine, though some leave a brief aftertaste. (Beats medications, of which I take none.)

Catturd’s been around for a long time. I think Il Trumpo sort of adopted him/it. If you check Catturd’s actual twtter account, he wrote a sci fi book; I don’t think Il Trumpo has had the time or incliniation to write sci fi.

The only prescription med I take is a thyroid pill. I don’t tolerate a lot of meds but I’m lucky to have a doctor that prefers otc supplements or nutrition where possible.
Due to character/mentality, my mind cannot stop thinking, constantly whirling (unless in a prayerful/meditative state thankfully). So finding the photos and posting gives mind something peaceful and good to do, and searching for the photos as well.
I need breaks from the “news” or I’d go barking mad.
The prevailing current through the strait is a branch of the Kuroshio, or Japan, Current which is the western Pacific equivalent of the Gulf Stream. There is a small southward flowing current close in on the coast of mainland China. Prevailing winds are from the Northeast, especially in winter. In other words, the Taiwan Strait is a choppy mess of a place to navigate much less fight.
Add to that the fact that it is so narrow, almost all of the strait is within coastal missile range of one side or the other and much of it is within artillery range. You may as well try to fight a naval battle on Lake Erie with modern weapons. No thank you.
Given that the average PLA soldier is too short to wade and can't yet fly under their own power, then I would say yes, the PLAN is essential to the CCP attacking Taiwan or Japan.
