Looks like it may be something Samsung is doing. Otherwise, if Pluto was wanting it blocked they would simply drop the channels from their line-up.

I am using the Pluto app on the Roku box and they are there.

I’m wondering if this will continue - since Pluto is now owned by CBS is they will continue to carry rival news network streams - I note they also have content from NBC news and other news networks that are competitors to CBS. Could be old contracts still in effect from prior to CBS purchasing it from the independent start up that Pluto used to be.

It's likely Pluto doing the conservative news blocking for Samsung App users, since their IT can tell the destination device/app type, and chose to block specific content or not. Samsung, and/or the internet provider, won't be able to tell the difference between the proprietary Pluto channel content in order to block specific content.

You're probably correct about CBS/viacom dropping competing news sources once contracts end.
