While it’s certainly not the explanation for every case of car wearing, rideshare drivers and passengers of Uber and other companies HAVE to wear masks. Every time you order a ride they make it clear that they will ban you from the service if you don’t wear one. Also, there are examples like one relative taking an elderly relative who has been isolating on a necessary trip to the doctor. I realize the anti-maskers don’t believe in any of it, but if one does, it does make sense to do it in that situation. And you can’t always tell when the driver has passengers.
