Dead whales happen. Grays are very slow and often get in the path of ships.
There may be a whoo ha over this as the gray whale population is down the last few years on the West Coast (but was way up for many years). So all the save the bunnies crowd will have their bloomers in a bunch....
BTW, I hope they don’t dispose of the carcas as one in Oregon was 50 years ago....
