I appologize for not making it clear enough those numbers. Those 70 million to 150 million U.S. people infected represent future numbers as the pandemic plays out. If 1% of those numbers died, that would be a large number added to the 540,000 deaths we have now. With the denial I see on these boards, I am certain we will reach the population of Hawaii in deaths.
But given the current mortality rate of this virus, one percent of that number will not die. Perhaps 0.1-0.3% of them will.
