"At least 79% of full-time permanent employees are white. African Americans make up just under 7% of the permanent full-time workforce, despite making up 13.4% of the U.S. population."

That's ok...the NFL/NBA/MLB make up for that with the NBA about 75% "African American."

As long as she's bringing up ethnic representation of the populace...I've notice the last several months that there is an obvious over representation of blacks in commercials. It's probably something around 70 - 80% of commercials have at least some "African American" representation and around 20 to 30% all black in the commercials. Game shows are another example. Randomly watch an episode of Family Feud, for example, and your nearly 100% likely to see one of the two family's are "African American."

I loathe having to look at the world in that way...but since they see everything in terms of skin color and they have a near monopoly on messaging in this country, they are essentially "forcing" the conversation in that direction...we'll, there it is. Plenty of "African American" over representation out there.

I was thinking the same thing. “Early ads for the parks were aimed at white audiences... a “culture of exclusion” and says it has a deep impact on people of color.” I’m starting to wonder about the “deep impact” on me seeing that blacks make up nearly 50% (according to ads and TV shows) of the American population.
