I get the point you’re making. It’s solid advice. BUT, a single guy is still a single guy, right? He’s allowed to ask women out, travel with them, buy them gifts and go to restaurants and whatnot. That’s all fine presuming he doesn’t hold any authority over them; don’t bang the help, IOW.
The dating seems to have been completely consensual and she did not work for him, presumably. The only issue here is if the girl was or wasn’t legal.
I guess there’s a discussion to be had about the decision making of a thirtysomething US Representative dating a teenager. That’s probably not a great look, I guess.
