You misunderstood. The smallpox vaccine is approved by the FDA.

The COVID-19 vaccines like the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines are not approved by the FDA.

None are vaccines nor approved by anyone. They are experimental treatments. No human trials except the million plus guinea pigs injected so far.
