Of COURSE it’s comparable. Just look at what happened to the US nuke power industry afterwards. No new nuke plants for decades. The only ones that went forward were 4 plants ADDED to existing nuke sites. Zero break-ground nuke sites otherwise.

make up substantial ground with other countries

China is pouring huge resources into LFTR (thorium fuel cycle) research, yet we are still debating whether it is feasible: economically feasible. If it is, then we are losing precious years versus our main competitor.

Nothing better than a good belly laugh to relax you before bed time...

The wokeified diversity-driven government scientific establishment is the equivalent of the keystone cops...

We are 30 years behind them...

Then let's start a Manhattan-like Project, then catch up and pass them.

I'm generally against big government, but to harness limitless clean energy, it's what we need.

My recommendation is LFTRs, what is yours? Am I naive to suggest this?

I don’t see you countering anything, as per usual.
Just throwing around your factless opinions and leaving your seagulls bizness behind.

Such trolling is not allowed any more per JimRob.

“What could possibly go wrong.”

A Google Ganglion of Fenced Propaganda

Next they’ll be calling horses we now have to ride, Cold fusion Reactor driven vehicles.

"China is pouring huge resources into LFTR (thorium fuel cycle) research,"

So is India. IIRC, they started long before the Chinese as they have huge reserves of thorium containing natural resources.

Not at all. Typically it is loaded with some amount of Fissile uranium...it still a relatively consistent reactor with current designs. For lack of a better term, it is a type of breeder reactor.

I think that one deserves its own thread.
