“Can’t imagine going through toddler years at that age..”
Most people go through toddler years when they are around two or three./s
I not only can imagine it, I am living it. I am 62, and my wife is 58. I have lost both of my sons in the last 3 years,My youngest in a 4 wheeler accident 2 years ago and my oldest last year due to depression and not being able to get into rehab during the china flu crises (VA would not accept new patients to rehab.) They have left behind 6 beautiful kids, and due to the reprobate lifestyle of one of the mothers, My wife and I have obtained legal custody of 2 awesome 3 and 8 year old boys. Yes it is hard, especially with the 3 year old. But they sure make me feel young again, and honestly have helped to fill the giant hole in our lives. Yes, God willing, I will be 77 when the youngest graduates high school. But if the only alternative is for these boys to have to go to a foster home, then there is no alternative at all. I love these boys just as fiercly as I loved my sons. I cant imagine things any different than they are now.
