BASE LOAD CAPACITY. Solar DOESN'T have it. You need coal or nuclear for that.

But it doesn't matter, anyway. The elites want reliable electricity taken away from the masses, and they have MILLIONS of people believing that "renewable" energy is what they should do. Let this civilization burn down, as all others before have done.

My neighbor thinks electricity (smart meters) are “frying me from the inside”. So she went off grid to solar panels. The first couple of cloudy days we had, she was knocking on our door, asking to use the phone - batteries were exhausted at her house. She ended up having to buy a $300 piece of equipment to ‘charge’ her batteries and get them going again. It seemed like the solar panel company repair truck was constantly at her house. In the last 2 weeks, the solar panels have come down & the roof where they were has been repaired. She’s putting the house up for sale & evidently, the solar panels & the 4 batteries (@ $2,500 each) that go with them, are not an asset in this area’s market. I’m sure there are solar systems that work better, but this one appears to have not been worth the $$/trouble.

Coal and nuclear are dead.

Over the past 15 years virtually all new base load power plants are natural gas. Gas fired plants are much cheaper both to build and operate than nuclear and substantially cheaper than coal. Building a coal plant costs more than 4 times what a gas plant costs. For nuclear its 12 times.

One built, the gas plants are cheaper to run. They need less operations and maintnenace A 1000 megawatt gas plant needs 30 employees, coal needs 150 employees, nuclear needs 500. The fuel costs is generally cheaper the same, largely because gas plants are so much more efficient, at 60 percent versus 40 percent for coal and 34% for nuclear..
