I have two thoughts on your opinion above:

1) The GOP wouldn't have to go along with it. The Democrats would simply invoke the nuclear option in which they have the 51 votes to pass whatever they want;
2) Seriously, I don't trust the GOP as far as I can throw them and after 4 major lower back surgeries in my life, I can't throw anything very far.

IMO, you can bet the farm this is the Democrats (and many GOP's) wet dream.
