I have a smart phone which I leave at home.
The smart phone does not work well at my location.
So technically, I do not have a working smartphone.
Don’t people who already got shots get issued a wallet card with their name, date and brand of vax?

And I am at the stage of my hearing disability that I will need a TDD phone, and I will need a landline for access; TDD service doesn’t work on a smartphone.
Computers and internet access can be ditched to save money.

First off the database won’t be on your smartphone phone only the QR code needed to trigger the link to the.central database that will return all the information to the entity checking it. For “those who lack a smartphone” the county can just mail a hard card with a QR code thats 4,000+ bytes of unique data more than enough for a complete blockchain. That card will be unique and uncopyable why because it links to one person’s data verified by biometrics. Remember that Real ID law that every state had until October 2019 to comply with well the states have taken by now everyone’s thumb prints at the minimum along with a facial recognition image. Look at the back of your driver’s license or state ID if it has the gold star on the front it will have a 3D barcode on the back that’s your digital finger prints and image. Texas scanned that when we get the shots tying the person to the shot vial they scanned that as well I watched them do mine. HIPPA flat out doesn’t apply to state and county level health departments they are excluded in the text of the law read the text it’s clear who and ONLY who it applies too the state and county are not there. Here in Texas nearly every bar already has the system to scan IDs and return the person’s state database DL info it’s used to catch fake id’s and is requried in college town bars Austin uses it all around UT campus. You scan the barcode on the back of the ID and in seconds the image of the real person pops up along with an image of the front of the ID and all the info on it no way to fake an ID when it’s counter verified against a main database that’s why TABC mandates it near colleges it virtually eliminates fake id’s. The very same system can and mostly will be used to just add a line on the read out to show covid status they already scanned the real id when you got your shot and it’s tied to an individual at that point. For those very few who don’t have a smart phone the database will just be tied to the DL or a card the county mails out with your individual QR code that brings up your info on the terminal.
Yes I have my CDC card with two stickers on it. The first one has my date time, manufacturer, batch number, vial number, my name and texas DL number. The second sticker has all the same plus a QR code in the end of it. I would bank on that’s the link to the state database that when scanned will bring up my record of vax. They scanned my email QR code for entry, my DL both sides and the vial of the vax before they pulled my dose out of it so they have everything they need to send to the CDC for a national database I would imagine other states are doing the same process.

In my zip code, no one was able to get the 'bama phone. My friend in Colorado wasn't able to get one either. We figure that it was because those phones don't work in our areas. We live in the dead zones. Landlines work great!
Look at your state ID or DL on the back is there a barcode on it if there is that’s gonna be your covid pass the amount of coding to link the states real id compliant biometrics to a vax data base is likely to be a few thousand lines easy peasy for a competent coder. If not simply printing out a individual unique QR or 3D barcode at the county level to issue via mail or in person at say the county tax or municipal courts. To think that someone could say oh I cant get a digital print out in todays world via mail, or at a local government office is delusional. The county is doing the vaccines they surly will issue QR cards on request just like voter id cards or tax statements or any other of hundreds of kinds of local government correspondence. Everyone will have access to either the QR code app or a issued hard card it’s not that hard you likely have a county issues voters card the vax card would come off the same printer and mail system.

Lawsuits to the Robert’s court ppaaalleeasee that’s hopeium at best. Protests ok ask the people facing ruined lives after Jan 6th how’s protesting working out for them. The .gov has gone rouge it has the full force and weight of all three branches and all the agency’s and all the lawfare too. Disobedience might work but it would take millions and they need to be backed up by millions with arms and the WILL to get out of the basement, den and hone office to use them and not have them be safe queens or range toys. I don’t see the guy with a $400,000 mortgage,two plus kids in sports and a soccer mom in a expensive leased suv gonna leave work, raise arms and actually fight. Nope lots of complaining will happen but ultimately the bills, mortgage and wife wins
Ok, the DL barcode makes sense. Not too comfortable about the DMV knowing about my vax situation...
Now I remember. The smartphones were also to be used to identify if anyone nearby was virus positive.
The DMV won’t know it’s just the unique data on that barcode thats tied to the county health department in a one to one database link. I could probably write the code needed in an afternoon in C# or python running on a MSSQL server those barcodes make life easy since they contain data that’s not only unique to the ID but biologically unique to the person holding the ID that’s nearly impossible for two people even identical twins to share the same biometrics especially finger prints, facial recognition of twins can be close but never prints.
