Every time a Dem politician was ever “skewered” on SNL, it was always in a weird way that made them look good in the end. Look at all the times Obama and Hillary and/or Bill Clinton were depicted. There’d be a dig at whatever controversy was happening at the time, but they always found a way to do it while making them look competent/cool/popular/funny in the end. Not so with any Republican.
I must admit though the Phil Hartman Clinton skit was a classic.
“Jim, let me tell you something - there’s gonna be a lot of things we don’t tell Mrs. Clinton about. Fast food is the least of our worries.”
