That’s what I figured, the cop’s boss had heard it before and maybe agreed with it.
DH got inveigled into the sovereign citizen thing years ago. I always suspected it was not an authentic position, and years later through some research and/or stuff posted on FR, found out it was indeed bogus.
PS - thankfully DH did not act on the soverieign cit. thing.
