Indeed Biden has saddled his VP with a Herculean task not unlike the cleaning of the Augean Stables. I think he figures this will keep her busy for a while and he won’t have to risk getting any of the stink splashed on him directly. Also I don’t think anyone is counting on her pulling out an overwhelmingly unique solution like Hercules came up with to deal with flushing out the stables. At any rate, he hopefully will have reduced her lurking presence behind him at public events and eliminates the ominous shadow she casts on his stated intention of running for another term.
