I doubt China wants to get involved militarily over here, especially since they already have people acting in their behalf on the ground here, at the highest level of government.

Instead, I think they prefer to see the US go the way of Argentina or Venezuela (probably Venezuela), and thus be out of their way as a world power (that will be in about 3 years). The only thing that could draw us into a conflict with them is Taiwan, and given our government here, I’m certain China will finally move to ‘liberate’ Taiwan from the ‘capitalists’ (I little Communist lingo, for those of you in Rio Linda). Most likely it will be due to a careless policy statement from our government, which is exactly what caused the 1990 invasion of Kuwait also.

China only needs to become the master of the seas. When that happens every other country becomes a client state of the Middle Kingdom. China is, however, looking at North America as lebensraum for a half billion or so of its people. They are taking over much of northeastern Siberia but the climate there is not conducive to being a population dump.
