I remember the Bush admin’s announcement of this group many years ago and suspected sooner or later it would be turned around and used by a hostile leftist administration against US citizens deemed political enemies. Wasn’t too far off.
Yep, that was the whole purpose of it, by using it/that to start and all-encompass everywhere in the US with the/a “surveillance society” first.
