I think when most people hear “Larry McMurtry” they probably think of Lonesome Dove and not Brokeback Mountain.

You youngsters might. Those of us of more mature years probably think first of "The Last Picture Show". Lonesome Dove didn't come along until almost two decades later.

Saw the movie about 35 years ago when it was already an oldie. I’ve never read the book. I think “Cybill Shepherd” when I hear Last Picture Show. Whew. Quite nice.
