People in the Pacific Northwest were treated to quite a light show in the sky on Thursday night shortly before 9:00 p.m. local time, midnight ET. Social media users from Oregon to Canada reported seeing strange lights, and we have plenty of angles from last night’s display...
... there’s speculation from astronomers that the lights streaking across the sky were pieces of the second stage boosters from a Falcon 9 rocket that was carrying SpaceX Starlink satellites, there’s still no official word from Elon Musk’s space company.

Rocket body re-entry and break-up. (likely an upper-stage)
I've seen it here in Colorado, as we're on a common orbital plane.

Saw an far bigger one in 1993 while digging clams in a no ambient light situation near the Olympic mountains. Absolutely scary. We three diggers stared at it for the 15 minutes it took to pass; we all felt like someone had just died. Weird and strange.
It was so huge it filled the space between two widely separated mountain tops; by the time it was visible in Seattle, it was mostly burned up.
There was no official announcement as to what it was, rather there were two very different and conflicting accounts both of which were too far away to be seen in Washington State.
The vids over city lights wash out most of the show and only the very brightest bits can be seen.

That’s pretty spooky. Looks like one of the alien energy weapons from “Battle Los Angeles.”

That is most likely a re-entry burnup of a rocket. I’ve seen one before in the daytime, and it was quite similar.

Wouldn't that have been fun if they had done that and if those things had come raining down.

15 minutes??? That is more than one item, it sounds more like aplatform for something coming apart and being dragged into the atmosphere for destruction.
