Looks like there is a lot of “drag” on that design overall, yes?

It’s only taking a 6 mile hop, then doing a bellyflop, homing in, and landing on its new legs. Y’know, if it works right. Drag I don’t think it’s an issue; while this isn’t the final design, the production version will take off from an offshore barge kinda thing, do a high suborbital jump, and land on the other side of the (for example) Pacific Ocean in 20 minutes. So, I doubt it has much drag. :^)
It’ll be a nice show either way — perfect landing, or rapid unscheduled disassembly.
That's intentional. The Starship is designed to return to Earth on its side for most of the descent, eliminating the need for either a parachute or a lot of residual fuel.
Because of the "draggy" nature of the design, SpaceX originally considered naming the craft "RuPaul."
