My diesel car can do 800 highway miles on a full tank.I've done it twice. Once empty I can refill the tank in about 4 minutes at any one of 40,000 stations nationwide.

Why would I *possibly* want to buy an electric vehicle?????

Bragging about a particular performance is near meaningless.

Several Electric vehicles have traveled across Australia without refueling. So?

What if an electric vehicle allows you to travel 800 miles on one charge, and only costs half of what your diesel does?

Electric vehicles have earned a place in the marketplace.

Sounds like your diesel does great things.

Why stop others from experimenting with things that may work for them?

Australia is about the size of the 48 states. Today's electric cars can barely do Boston to NYC on a charge.I suspect that you've mis-read something along the line.

If that car could be re-charged in 4 minutes,at any one of 40,000 recharging stations, in a country where there was no shortage of electricity,I just might consider it.

Electric vehicles have earned a place in the marketplace.

Only because of filthy Maoists like Occasional Cortex. Without them you'd only find such cars in Berkeley,Cambridge and at Rat Party Headquarters.
