Impressed with Rand here as he explains a difficult economic argument to the local news back home and why the 'free' money isn't free.

“I think it’s one of those things that looks good on the front end, who’s going to turn down a thousand dollars, but we have to think about the unintended or long-term consequences of what this could do to the country,” Sen. Paul said.

The country doesnt care about the potential inflationary issues. They should care, but they don’t. The Dems figured that out long ago. Interestingly enough the Dems used to be able to blame coporations for price-gouging when things got expensive. I think conservatives should jump on the band wagon and go after all these woke businesses (which virtually all businesses seem to be in this day and age).

If the country club Republicans want to abandon us on our pet issues, then we can throw them under the bus too by allowing government to tax and regulate their donors into a lower income bracket.

Despite the grafitti artists, thanks for your reporting on one of our best Senators. Rand Paul is of the few worth keeping.

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse doe to loose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”

The concept of “free money” is not difficult. Money is not free. Someone has to produce a good or service, which in turn, is allocated to someone else. Essentially donating or, in the case of taxes, having one’s labor confiscated.

The consequences of “free” money should be explained in high school.
