If that were going to work, it would’ve worked already. The “easy solution” is always deceptive and the last several decades are unequivocal proof.
This argument can’t be shut down or avoided, it needs to be won. There’s no alternative unless you are accepting of surrender.
“The founders are x, because of x” - “That’s not what the historical record states, because (tell the story)”
That will make them shout louder.
“THE FOUNDERS WERE RACISTS!” - “I just told the story, what you’re saying isn’t accurate.”
What we forget is that the “shouter” isn’t the target, it’s the bystanders. The bystanders are who need to hear the stories.
They’ve never heard these stories. That’s why the quotes don’t work.
You can’t win an argument with Liberals, because they don’t care what they are arguing about, they will make up “facts”, change the subject, use every logical fallacy in the book, name call, then go right back to the argument you have already proved wrong. They want you to submit to their opinion, that is their only motive in “discussion”. Refuse to submit or engage with liberals, and have real discussions with those that are not true believers. That is winning.
