I’ve enjoyed George Segal’s acting since seeing him in the movie “The Owl & The Pussycat” with Barbara Striesand.
Both had a good sense of humor and timing.

I was not a fan of his last show The Goldbergs.
The little I saw of it: Everybody on that show was YELLING!
I don’t recall yelling at home during the 1980’s. Not like that.
Also, each character on that show was obnoxious in their own way. Lot’s of sibling teasing going on.

From what I have seen of the show, it is a real life documentary of the character “Adam” set in the 1980s. The theme of the first 2/3rds of the show is a family quarreling internally and externally but then the final moments are somewhat sappy in that family love unites and shines. It isn’t anything appalling by today’s standards but then again the 1980s was an awesome time to be alive.

“The Owl & The Pussycat” with Barbara Striesand.”

HAHA, I never saw that movie, but hubby always talks about one scene with him saying “I want to see cycle sluts”, that he says is hilarious. I guess you have to be there, because I never really understand why it’s so funny, but hubby still cracks me up with it.

Maybe we’ll watch it in George Segal’s honor this weekend.

Streisand is awful of course as a thinker, but as an entertainer she’s one of the best.
